Mission Statement

Gladwell CME is committed to the development and delivery of evidence-based continuing education that focuses on changes and advances in health care for the purpose of improving patient care. Through these educational offerings, the overall goal of the program is to improve patient outcomes by enhancing health care professionals’ knowledge, competence and performance in practice.

Goals

Within the context of its mission statement, Gladwell CME is dedicated to the following goals to ensure independence, balance, objectivity, scientific rigor, and integrity in all educational activities: Provide continuing education, based on the identification of practice gaps and educational needs, to improve the knowledge, competence and performance of health care professionals.

Develop comprehensive strategies, procedures and processes to create a focused structure to facilitate, fund and implement the educational goals of local and regional medical groups.

Provide assessments of the outcomes of continuing education activities, using a variety of assessment tools for use in the planning of future educational activities.

By offering the highest-quality, evidence-based education to health care professionals, Gladwell CME’s program will address unmet practice gaps and educational needs that offer health care solutions to enable patients to live healthier lives.

Content

Continuing medical education content is based on the identification and analysis of health care professionals’ practice gaps and is selected for its relevance to the target audience’s current or potential scope of professional activities. Gladwell CME activities encompass content on clinical science, evidence-based medicine, practice management, performance improvement and patient safety.

Target Audience

Continuing medical education activities are designed for local and regional audiences comprised of physicians and other health care professionals dedicated to improving patient safety and outcomes.

Types of Activities

Based upon the needs and preferences of our learners, activities are chosen in formats appropriate for the setting, objectives and desired results of the education. Activities are designed with the expectation to improve knowledge, competence and performance in practice through various learning formats including but not limited to, didactic presentations, panel discussions, interactive workshops, live virtual meetings, and web-based distance education.

Expected Results

Gladwell CME’s program is intended to enhance health care professionals’ knowledge, competence and performance in cognitive, procedural and humanistic areas for the purpose of improving patient care. Through qualitative and quantitative methods to measure change, Gladwell CME expects its learners will report greater confidence in their ability to manage the clinical conditions of their patients and apply new strategies and changes in their practice.
